What we liked at the Grammy’s

Refrain from wearing see-through clothes and make sure that butts and boobs are covered. That was the request from CBS before the Grammy’s 2013 to all the celebrities on the red carpet. Mission accomplished? Of course not. Stars like Jennifer Lopez, Alicia Keys and Katy Perry are real diva’s and didn’t think twice about breaking the dresscode rule.
But looking past all the flesh still on show, we concentrate on what the celebs wore on their face. Red-carpet veterans Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez proved to us that a simple look can turn heads too. They graced the carpet with simple hair and makeup. We saw some real misses too. Singer Carrie Underwood fell short in her heavy eye makeup and Taylor Swift disappointed with a childish braided updo. This years weirdest Grammy beauty look does not go to absent Lady Gaga, but Estonian singer Kerli.
Take a look at these head-turning looks. Our best beauty shots of the 2013 Grammy’s with commentary of The Huffington Post.

The center-parted ponytail showcases this diva’s bronze complexion and stunning red lips.

Alexa Chung

We love Chung’s messy updo and side-swept bangs — this hairstyle is perfect for the low-key fashionista. And her red lipstick is perfection against her porcelain skin.

Bold brows? Check. Loose, sexy waves? Check. Fiery red lips? Check.check. Rihanna’s look is the one that we’ll dream about all day.

Kelly Rowland

The Destiny’s Child group member looks gorgeous in neutral makeup and eyelash-grazing fringe.

Jennifer Lopez

J.Lo loves a sleek topknot! She paired her simple hairdo with runway-inspired graphic eyeliner and nude lips.
